Madley School fundraises for ECHO

Madley School pupils welcomed visitors from ECHO to present them with a cheque for over £280.00. The money was raised at the school’s Harvest and Sustainability Festival, each pupil had collected loose change in a recycled carton. Members of the Eco- Council organised the counting of the money in the local church as part of the festival. Lisa Woakes, fundraising co-ordinator and Laura from About Face Theatre Company were told how they had decided the funds should go to ECHO after learning about the work it does. Then they were given a guided tour of the school by representatives from the Council. What a fabulous idea, thanks for raising such a magnificent sum!
