ECHO is a charity working mainly with people with moderate or severe learning difficulties.  We also support people with mental health needs or who have physical or sensory impairments. ECHO runs 25 different activities each week in community settings across Herefordshire.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated person to join the Senior Management Team as Deputy Chief Officer for our Social Enterprise work.

A skilled manager of people, you will support our project staff to deliver high quality activities across Herefordshire. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of projects that help our participants to be the best they can be and play an active part in the community.

The Deputy Chief Officer- Social Enterprise is responsible for the following projects:

It is a part time appointment of 30 hours per week.  Hours to be spread between 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday (working pattern open to negotiation). You will be based in Leominster with some home working. However, on occasion you will need to work outside of these times, which may include evenings or weekends.

The role would suit an experienced manager with good experience of supporting and managing staff and running a varied portfolio of projects. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience of supporting disabled people either professionally or in their personal life, but a demonstration of commitment to this area of work or experience with other vulnerable groups will also be considered.

The salary is linked to NJC salary scale point 30.
