By popular demand ECHO is holding its second colour fest paint run called the ECHO Alien colourfest on Saturday 27th May as part of the Leominster Festival. The theme of this year’s festival is “Out of this World” so we will be giving all runners and walkers a pair of “Alien Antennae” to keep on theme and naming the paint stations after planets. We are also planning a route around Leominster town itself, which is very exciting.

We are hoping that 300 participants will take part. Starting off in white T shirts you will run around the course and, at the end of each km, you’ll pass through a paint station where coloured paint will be thrown at you (NB paint is very safe, (100% flour and biodegradable). By the end of the course you’ll be covered in paint and ……..smiles!

The run will be preceded by a warmup session from the stage with keep fit professionals plus DJ and music. Certain VIPS will be around to fire paint canons on the crowd!

The start and finish points this year will be on The Grange, next to Grange Court. Each participant will pay an entry fee. We are looking at £10 for an adult, £5 for a child (any children under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult) and a £25 Family ticket (for 4). The ticket price includes the antennae, pair of sunglasses, a finishing medal and plenty of paint!

Mayor of Leominster, Trish Marsh, congratulating some of the runners and walkers last year.
