Then it’s time to volunteer!

ECHO has lots of different projects, which all benefit from having volunteers. Here are some examples of opportunities available:

Eaton Barn

If nurturing plants and spending time outdoors brings you joy, our horticultural project, Eaton Barn could be the perfect fit. It’s a beautiful and welcoming space where your passion can flourish while supporting our participants in their daily gardening activities and in selling the harvested produce, eggs, flowers and plants to the public.

Studio Mirai

If you love working with furniture and enjoy practical tasks, Studio Mirai could be the perfect place for you. This unique project focuses on upcycling and repurposing donated wooden furniture, giving it new life and keeping it out of landfill. As a volunteer, you’ll support adults with disabilities in every step of the process, from preparation to restoration to resale. It’s a chance to share your skills, enjoy meaningful work, and help promote sustainability through reuse, repurpose, and recycle. Do what you love and make a lasting impact.

Clever Betsy

If sewing, lino printing, working with textiles, or painting brings you joy, our Clever Betsy project could be the perfect volunteering opportunity for you. As a volunteer, you’ll support adults with disabilities in crafting beautiful, handmade items — from vibrant prints to upcycled creations — all of which are sold to the public through various channels. Clever Betsy is a lively, welcoming space filled with creativity, laughter, and learning. It’s a chance to share your skills, discover new ones, and be part of something truly inspiring. Come create, connect, chat, laugh and make a difference. QUOTE

Would you like to be a part of a welcoming space for learning, creativity, and community?

The Priory Centre is home to a wide range of learning and social activities designed to promote independence and enhance the daily living skills of our participants. From gardening and cooking to sensory stories, arts and crafts, and literacy sessions, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and grow from. We are proud to play an active role in the local community, collaborating with groups like Leominster in Bloom and the Meeting Centre to foster connection and inclusion.

If you would enjoy supporting our participants to develop a range of craft and design skills, be part of the Leominster community, help tend the courtyard garden, go out for coffee and walks, and have fun and make friends then The Priory Centre could be for you! Be a part of a project where creativity blossoms, friendships grow, and everyone is supported to thrive.

Love being in a chatty, fun environment?

Are you a car driver? Do you enjoy spending time supporting people and making meaningful connections? Come and volunteer at LifeLinks and get more involved in your local community. Whether you’re helping participants with shopping for those who can’t get out, joining in group activities like arts and crafts, going for a walk, or heading out on a community outing — every moment you spend with us makes a difference. You don’t need special experience — just compassion, patience, and a willingness to connect. LifeLinks are especially looking for people who can drive, to help participants get out and about more often and enjoy more days out.
