One to One Support Worker Clever Betsy

£11.38 per hour

Do you want to help support an amazing young man to develop and grow his skills?
We are seeking to recruit a one-to-one Support Worker to work with a specific participant at Clever Betsy, Leominster, 1 or 2 days per week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, or both) between 9:00am and 3:00pm. Your role will involve keeping him safe as he moves around the premises, and supporting him to have the most productive, enjoyable experience during his time in the project. Whilst this is a one-to-one post, Clever Betsy is a group project and part of the role will be to encourage the participant to feel part of the team.
Based in Leominster, Clever Betsy is an Arts & Crafts project with a particular focus on upcycling and producing a range of high-quality crafted items to sell in the ECHO shop and various other outlets within the community. https://www.echoherefordshire.org.uk/services/clever-betsy/
You will be involved in the planning and delivery of activities that will help to develop his skills and encourage him to try new things and build confidence. You will be involved in keeping good records, communicating effectively, and sharing information as appropriate, whilst maintaining confidentiality and data protection requirements in line with ECHO policies.
As this is a one-to-one position supporting a specific participant, the role is contingent upon the participant’s attendance at the project.

ECHO runs 28 different activities each week in community settings across Herefordshire. ECHO is committed to providing services that promote choice, rights and independence for disabled people in Herefordshire.
