On Friday 25th June 2021, Terri who works at The Priory Centre is holding a sponsored 8 hour dance to raise funds for ECHO.

This is part of our celebrations and events for Learning Disability Week, 14 – 20  June, which this year is all about art & creativity.

Terri says, “On that day, I am planning to dance from 8am to 4pm (with a 5-minute break in each hour).  I’ve chosen this date because it coincides with the end of lockdown (fingers crossed) and it falls in Learning Disability Awareness Week.  This year, the focus of this week will be on celebrating friendships and relationships which are so important to everyone, especially those with learning disabilities”.  She added, “So I’m going to be leading the dance with a variety of mixed styles and anyone who wants to drop in and/or join in can do so, on their own or with a friend.  Remember, everyone can dance”.

This will be a sponsored event in aid of ECHO.  The Priory will be putting on refreshments throughout the day.  With a bit of luck, the weather will be kind and we can all enjoy the Courtyard Garden as well as cheering Terri on.
